Guildwars quest
i know that real fun begins when you are level 20
but i have question about guildwars' quest during the beta event, ive been travelling between towns, and do little errands. but i havent seen any dungeon quest with big bad boss at the end. for example, like fellowship enters mount moria in the lord of the rings. will there be quest like that in guildwars once you reach level 20? when i play role playing games, i like to solve mysteries, simple riddles(with party members)...and fight big huge scary boss(who is like 20 or more times the size of my character) which will take good 20 minutes to take it down. thanks |

Most of the "bosses" so far in the game have just been somewhat enhanced versions of the normal monsters you had been facing so far throughout the level. I'm not sure what point you have reached in the betas, but I know at least that there was some instances where "head honchos" have shown up. For example, in the last Stone Summit mission where Rurik gets the axe, the person who toppled the trees onto him could be considered a "boss," but as far as I know, and the lack of any discussion on the site, leads me to believe that his appearance in the chapter was the extent of his involvement.
However, once you get to the mission where you have to protect Confessior Dorian and there's the cutscene with the Staff of Orr (got it right?), there's a brief appearance by the monster "Undead Lich," whom I would guess will appear later on in the game as a monster which you have to defeat. After all, he did talk about how the prophecy was falling into place, and looked quite badass, if you may pardon my French |

There arent any dungeons in the first chapter (unless you count catacombs), but AN said that the second one will focus a lot on undergroud and inside dungeons.

First of all, I'd like to clarify one statement you made. I don't think the "real fun" starts at lvl 20. To me, unlike most mmorpg's, the real fun starts at level 1. IMO, you could even do this game without the levels. Levels just don't mean that much. Sure you can't pvp with the best of them at level 5, but the level 5 arena is great fun.
I think this game is extremely fun all the way through. That said, there are bosses that you will fight. Some of them are just beefed up mobs that you'll find in missions, others will be fights at the end of the mission. I remember the white mantle fight at aurora glad being hard as hades. No, there are no extended dungeon crawls yet, I believe we'll get those in chapter 2. At least I hope so. |

yes...any levels below 20 is fun....we actually have fun as soon as we log on. but "real" fun starts once you reach 20. you have "all" the skills with max effect, attributes are maxed, and etc. obviously when you are level 20, you dont wanna go back to old quest to fight with weak monsters. perhaps i can have fun in other mmorpg starting from level 1 too. (no matter what game and what level...we all get to fight monsters and etc starting from beginning) the reason i like about guildwars is that it doesnt take too long to max my level...whereas it will take almost forever to develope my character in other game....which will cause unbalance game play. like level 100 vs level 50 character. due to this fast character development, meaning of trying to get higher level than other people became pointless. we can concentrate more on developing our strategy and skills(which is real fun part).
